When it comes to autumnal hues, one is drawn to dive into Saint Laurent collection because the maison has a penchant to play with the warmest tonalities even in the heart of summer so that when August comes, it is all natural for us to turn towards the most welcoming Saint Laurent palette and get ready for fall. The Fall 2026 Saint Laurent collection is not deceiving us. Anthony Vacarello has created again the most accurate Fall vibes adding new pieces in lace to those we already collected last year. Do you remember the 2025 Collection two-toned green skirt plus blouse in lace? And the electric blue lace dress styled so elegantly on Bella Hadid in the Fall-Winter 2025 campaign?

If ever you were – as I was – already taken by the trend, keep on adding to your lace wardrobe and to love Saint Laurent. My favourite look in the Fall 2026 Saint Laurent collection is the golden Cassandre buttoned lace midi dress with the manchon on chain in shearling. Look at how the scallop brings the eye down the low neckline and the vent. Not only it lengthens the figure, but it is in itself the most hypnotizing detail. The manchon tells a story about a bygone age when being elegant was a thing of beauty. It makes me think of one of the first looks of Doris Nolan in the Holiday 1938 movie when she pairs the muff with the most spectacular cone hat. Philippe Treacy could always make something similar to order as he did for the Valentino Haute Couture Fall/Winter 2003 Collection: a millinery moment to recall.

There is also the burgundy lace midi skirt with the pink lingerie-stolen body. How sophisticate! Go for it because we certainly do not want our senses to get sleepy during the Fall. Here we come to the reason why we are so taken by Anthony Vacarello Saint Laurent Fall 2026 Collection: its sophistication draws its pattern from the lace Vacarello so elegantly highlights. Lace is made of a multitude of fine threads woven together in beautiful, unique patterns, often reproducting flowers. When we think we got rid of Nature, here she comes again in a more subtle way. It is the most exquisite form of Gestell, enframing: because we are to go back to universities and offices, we are to be the most intellectual versions of ourselves, let’s put nature in our crypt and be sure we are not to forget her.
